Yeti Beats is the executive producer, chief collaborator, DJ, co-manager, and creative of GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi-platinum superstar Doja Cat. He’s co-wrote on her hit album Hot Pink, as well as her debut studio album Amala, including Juicy ft. Tyga and Candy. He is credited as a writer, producer, executive producer and A&R for both albums. In 2013, he discovered Doja Cat and signed her to his production company. As executive producer, he oversaw her Purrr! EP [2014], major label debut Amala [2018], and gold-selling chart-topping blockbuster Hot Pink [2019], which bowed in the Top 10 of the Billboard Top 200. He personally co-wrote and co-produced the double-platinum “Juicy,” and gold-certified singles “Candy,” “Go To Town,” “Tia Tamera” [feat. Rico Nasty], and “Cyber Sex.” He also shepherded her through high-profile deals and served as her DJ on tour. He has also produced multiple tracks for underground hardcore hip-hop insurgents HO99O9 and helmed three albums for award-winning reggae outfit Rebelution and with some of music’s biggest stars such as BJ The Chicago Kid, Andra Day, Mahalia and many more.
He signed an exclusive administration agreement with Warner Chappell Music just last year. We got a chance to speak with Yeti to talk about his journey alongside superstar Doja Cat, his favorite Genre, working with Doja on her most successful albums to date, current state of rap music + much more.
