YouTube is partnering with Love Renaissance (LVRN) signed creator, artist, DJ, and producer Kitty Ca$h to launch season 2 of “Kitty’s World,” a virtual animated series which comments on music, fashion, social justice, and pop culture, premiering exclusively on YouTube on February 16. Hosted by an original 3-D animated character voiced by Kitty Ca$h, “Kitty’s World” is broken down into various segments which feature fashion (“Drip or Drown”), an audience Q&A (“1-800-MEOW NOW”), candid interviews where she discusses all things music with debut guest BRS Kash (“In The Mix”), and an uplifting message (“The Word”). Made up of a majority all Black women team, the show serves as a safe space for socially conscious discourse that combines culture and politics with visual storytelling and music.
Tune-in to the season two premiere of “Kitty’s World” on February 16 at 4pm PT / 7pm ET exclusively on Kitty Ca$h Official YouTube Channel.
Season one of “Kitty’s World” received support from Kerby Jean-Raymond, Summer Walker, Joey Bada$$, Marc Lamont Hill, and more for its unapologetic, yet fun take on social issues. In season two, the series will stay true to its roots and address topics including financial literacy, mental health, expectations for the President-Elect, and more. Episodes will air weekly at 4pm PT / 7pm ET.
Executive produced by Kitty Ca$h and Love Renaissance (LVRN) co-founder/president, Tunde Balogun, in partnership with Kids Against Cubicles, “Kitty’s World” is being released in partnership with YouTube as a part of an ongoing series of music programming coming directly out of the recently announced #YouTubeBlack Voices Fund. The #YouTubeBlack Voices Fund is dedicated to amplifying and developing the voices of Black creators and artists and their stories. Over the next several years, this global fund will be used to directly support Black creators and artists to help them thrive on YouTube.
Along with the release of the “Kitty’s World” series, YouTube Music is introducing new music moments that include content series, live streams, and events. The #YouTubeBlack Music moments are celebrations of Black culture, identity, and experiences from the perspective of artists and thought leaders in Music
