Heno Drops New Song “Parallel Timelines”

Maryland-born LA-based rapper/vocalist/producer Heno. has a new LP, Death Ain’t THAT Bad coming March 19th, and here’s the next single “Parallel Timelines” ft. Kuya. Accompanied with a lyric video set to the juxtaposition of different parallels the song is a meditation on just that but ultimately surrenders to the acceptance of how things are.

The album, which includes production from JPEGMAFIA & Anthony Ferraro along with features from ASTU, Ahmed Kazmi, Knyves Escobar, Kuya and Bianca Brown is a philosophical mediation on Stoic outlook. Growing up in Takoma Park, Maryland, a neighborhood rife with law enforcement and violence, forced Heno. to grow up faster than most. He realized at an early age that having control of your emotions was a mechanism for survival – a Stoic touchstone. Not having a name for it at the time, he eventually came across the writings of Epicurus, whose philosophies reaffirmed Heno.’s outlook on death, emotions, etc.
