Emerging rapper Dolo Tonight explores his emotions with his introspective new single, “Higher.” Produced by Aruu and written by Dolo Tonight, the meaningful track sees the New Jersey native grabbling with his demons and finding balance amidst the chaos. On the song, Dolo explains, “It’s about highs and lows, being trusting of your instincts, and dealing with your inner peace. It tells the story of a rough time in my life and I wanted to share that with my audience, I make a lot of happy music and felt like my fans needed to see that even the best of us go through it.”
The visuals, filmed in Pikes Peak Summit, Colorado, chronicles the ambitious adventures of Dolo Tonight and his crew vying to break the Guinness World Record for the highest music video on land. The exhilarating music video finds the fearless Dolo exploring new heights by bungee jumping from 14,000 feet in the air and sailing the skies in an Applebee’s hot air balloon.
Dolo Tonight’s breakthrough came when released “Too High” in 2019, subsequently catapulting himself to Spotify’s Top 100 Breaking Artists that year. Soon after, the charismatic New Jersey native released “Blue” followed by “Zoom” which currently sits at 2 million plus combined streams. After linking with Grammy Award Winning engineer, Michael Ashby, who also engineers for Cardi B, Dolo Tonight fixated his sound to what he calls “Anti-Pop” Rap. In 2020, Dolo released his motivational track “Graduation,” the lead single from his upcoming project Back To Earth. A testament to his potent output of feel-good music, “Graduation” describes the expectations set forth against him and silences those skeptical of his success.
