FaZe Clan and Manchester City are excited to further their innovative partnership in a collaboration to celebrate global football (soccer) in Fortnite with new in-game outfits, emotes and tournaments alongside more than 20 other top football clubs around the world.
To celebrate the launch, Manchester City and FaZe Clan will hold the FaZe City Cup featuring Fortnite on January 21st. The tournament will be the first Fortnite tournament held by Manchester City and FaZe Clan and will see the top 50 duos pairings (top 100 players) earn early access to the Manchester City skin and special in-game emote. FaZe Clan Fortnite players FaZe Mongraal and FaZe Nate Hill are confirmed to participate, with more players to be announced soon. Check in-game for the latest information and start times.
Starting January 23rd, players can open the Item Shop in Fornite to purchase the new “Kickoff Set” outfits and represent their favorite club in-game. Each outfit can be swapped to any of the 23 football clubs participating, including Manchester City. Additionally, players will be able to earn or purchase two new emotes, including a “Fancy Footwork” dribbling emote.
The FaZe City Cup builds on FaZe Clan’s already successful partnership with Manchester City, which has created new experiences for fans of both esports and football since it began in 2019.
Throughout the partnership, City footballers, legends and esports players have teamed up with FaZe Clan talent to create engaging content and launch limited-edition product collaborations, as well as hosting each other at events in Manchester and Los Angeles.
