Today, adidas is releasing ULTRABOOST 21, the latest addition to its most successful running shoe franchise. Inspired by the ongoing energy of the running community, persistent even through a pandemic, the new shoe will feature a bold new design and the latest in performance technology with 6% more BOOST than ULTRABOOST 20.
In a recent ULTRABOOST 21 global study, adidas looked at the effects of the pandemic on running, energy levels, and outlook on life. The study found that:
- 55% of those who increased their running dramatically found that they had developed a more positive outlook on life.
- 1 in 4 said running is the activity that makes them feel more energized, more so than listening to music, attending gigs, watching live sports or going to the gym.
- The majority of runners maintained or increased their running since the start of the pandemic, with 1/3 of runners saying they have increased the amount of time they spend running.
The adidas ULTRABOOST 21 will feature a vibrant white and fluorescent colorway to highlight high energy. ULTRABOOST 21 will retail for $180 and will launch on adidas channels on January 28 and globally on February 4, with further limited-edition drops to follow.
