Today, Travis Scott x Cactus Jack Foundation in partnership with the City of Houston and Mayor Sylvestor Turnerlaunched their 1st Holiday Toy Drive event. This event took place at Sunnyside Park in Houston, the neighborhood Travis grew up in and presented 2000 toys from Mattel and other leading brands to 1000 students across 3 local Houston elementary schools and the faculty and local residents serving a total of 2000 people. The event was contactless, drive up only. Produce was distributed for every family, Christmas trees were handed out, comforters, blankets, clothing and PPE gear were provided. Free meals and Turkey Leg Hut Food Truck was on site as well as fresh and canned produce was distributed. Attending the event was Mayor Turner, US Congressman Al Green, US Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, City Council Member Carolyn Evans-Shabazz and City Council Member Edward Pollard
CACTUS JACK FOUNDATION MISSION STATEMENT: “The mission of the Cactus Jack Foundation is to empower and enrich the lives of youth by providing access to education and creative resources to ensure long term success. The foundation believes the youth should not be prevented from attaining their lifetime goal and is committed to extending educational opportunities to all, regardless of their circumstances to achieve their dreams.”
