Fan Controlled Football (FCF), the only professional sports league that empowers fans to call the plays in real-time, and Champion Athleticwear, makers of authentic athletic apparel since 1919, today announced the brands are collaborating on the creation of the first-ever uniforms that have been co-designed and voted on by the fans.
Fan Controlled Football (FCF) is a real-world professional sports league where the fans are in charge. For the first time in sports history, fans get to call all the shots for their team, including team branding, personnel decisions and real-time play calling. Combining the passion of live sports, the competitiveness of fantasy sports, the interactivity of video games and the global reach of esports all into a live-streamed, real-life experience, FCF is the first professional sports league to place fans in the general manager role in partnership with team owners.
During the last month, fans from across the globe submitted thousands of team names, then voted on their favorites. Next, passionate creators, designers, artists, and Crayola® experts submitted logo designs for each of the newly minted monikers as part of a User Generated Content (UGC) contest. Finally, the fans voted on their favorites and the results are in. Winners for each team logo design will receive $1,000, team gear featuring their logo design and a shout-out from one of their celebrity team owners on social media.

Based on the UGC logo designs and fan votes, Champion will create the official on-field uniforms and practice apparel for FCF’s four teams for the league’s inaugural season, set to begin in February 2021. To enhance the experience for fans, Champion will be an official supplier of FCF off-field apparel and design a limited-edition FCF x Champion Capsule Collection of fan gear for each team. Additionally, as the authentic and official outfitter of the FCF, Champion will partner with the new immersive sports and entertainment brand to co-create promotions and marketing activations leading up to and during the season.
Beginning today, fans will see the fruits of their labors come to life, as fan voting begins on the final uniform designs and the first FCF x Champion gear to feature the four official team logos becomes available for purchase in FCF’s new online store at fcf.io.

Built for the digital audience, FCF’s live games will be held at the league’s state-of-the-art facility in Atlanta. Each game will be 60 minutes in length and live streamed on Twitch. Using a custom Twitch Extension, FCF has developed an innovative interactive video overlay for desktop and mobile, allowing fans to call the plays natively on top of the Twitch video player. Like video games, fans will have the opportunity to earn achievements, increase their “FAN IQ” and level up to greater impact the decisions throughout the seasons.
Adding to the fan experience and immersion, FCF has partnered with some of the most impactful names and personalities in the world of sport and culture to be team owners. They include hip hop mogul Quavo of Migos, Super Bowl Champions Richard Sherman and Marshawn Lynch, the baddest man on the planet Mike Tyson, Sportscaster Bob Menery, Minnesota Twins pitcher Trevor May, pro wrestling superstar Miro, YouTube sensation Deestroying, YouTube and podcast empire Kinda Funny led by video game industry vet Greg Miller, and Los Angeles Chargers star running back Austin Ekeler.
FCF features four teams that will be stacked with pro-caliber athletes from NCAA Division I and II programs, the CFL, XFL and IFL playing fast-paced, high-scoring 7-vs-7 style of football played on a 35-yard x 50-yard field with 10-yard end zones. The six-week season will include four regular-season weeks, one playoff week and a championship week.
