The event is hosted by rapper Waka Flocka and television personality, singer, and fashion designer Tammy Rivera. Rapper and activist Common, actress, singer, and television personality star Keke Palmer, and DJ A-Rod are set to make appearances.
Additionally, BLM PAC is hosting a “Southern Hospitality” livestream event with music provided by DJ Big Tigger and DJ Stormy. Black Male Voter Project presents “It’s The Vote for Me” drive-in concert with performances by rapper Lil Yachty, Keke Palmer, and more. This event will be hosted by Lil Duval and Ms. Basketball. Sponsored by BLM PAC, Black Voters Matter, Rep GA, When We All Vote, and Progress Georgia.
The ‘We Got Power. Let’s Do It Again!’ Drive-in Tailgate will bring the people of Georgia together and provide them an opportunity to learn more about voting and registering their vote for the Georgia senate run-offs. The event will also have free food for guests, live performances, and music. BLM PAC works to show voters why the Democratic Senate matters to them, to their lives, and to their communities, while also demonstrating the power of Black votes in the fight for Black liberation.
The ‘Southern Hospitality’ event will provide an informative and inspiring event on the Georgia runoff election and tell BLM’s base about what the PAC is doing for the election. Britney Whaley will speak on PAC’s partnership with the Working Families Party. Additionally, John Taylor and Martina Smith will be interviewed about their efforts in local work and polling. Guests are required to register for the Zoom webinar in order to attend.

WHY: Black voter turnout in Georgia accounts for flipping the state from red-to-blue from 2016 to 2020 and it is the only way to win both Senate run-offs in January. However, replicating this success during the holiday season while increasing Black turnout by another 50,000 voters is an incredibly difficult task that requires us to recruit Black voters that are disaffected by the political system. We must reach low propensity voters that were mobilized for the first time this cycle in order to determine how to get them back AND explore the barriers that still prevent non-voters from participating.
***The event will be following all local COVID-19 guidelines with physical distancing and masks required.
