eBay is partnering with Record Store Day, the organization behind the country’s largest annual celebration of independent record stores, to elevate and support thousands of independent record stores across the country as they navigate the effects of COVID-19.
Normally a single-day music event, Record Store Day 2020 will instead be celebrated with a series of three online drops on August 29, September 26 and October 24. With nearly 400 titles spread over the three RSD Drops dates — including albums from Billie Eilish, David Bowie, the Notorious B.I.G., Fleetwood Mac, Miles Davis and many more — there are records for every musical taste.
The collaboration comes at a time when record stores and other small businesses are adapting to the unforeseen impacts of COVID-19. While some businesses adopt curb-side pickup or delivery services to stay connected with customers, others turn to ecommerce and marketplaces like eBay.
Music-lovers and vinyl enthusiasts can shop the first Record Store Day drop starting August 29 with the added confidence they’re supporting local small businesses.
