Broken Promises (@brokenpromisesco) – an LA based contemporary brand founded by designer Mandee Bence (@mandeebence) and business/life partner Jason Blake – is set to release an exclusive 4/20-inspired collection titled “Things Have Changed (THC)” slated to drop online on April 11th, 2020.
Since the brand’s inception in 2017, 4/20 has been Broken Promises’ second biggest selling date of the year. “Things Have Changed” is their play on 4/20, showcasing tongue-in-cheek phrases including “Still tripping on the things you said” and “CBD – I wish things Could Be Different.”
Illustrating the brand’s signature story-telling of human emotions and shared experiences, this collection features 4/20-inspired graphics across tie-dye and acid wash prints, everyday t-shirts, hoodies and shorts, an upcycled Champion sweatsuit, a 100% cotton canvas work jacket, as well as the brand’s annual “Stickie Pack” that includes branded rolling papers, stickers, and a keychain inside of a medicinal dram container.
Broken Promises’ designer Mande Bence has been a female pioneer in the male dominated world of streetwear (where she held design positions at VANS, New Era, The Hundreds) and has amassed a high following on social media with her empowering, provocative, and irreverent personality. Merging forward-thinking trends with accessibility and a sense of nostalgia, Broken Promises serves as a visual medium for self expression. The brand’s concept now extends across fashion, music, art, and culture, and the company has quickly expanded globally, speaking to a broad base of rebellious followers around the world.
“Things Have Changed (THC)” will release online brokenpromisesco.com on Saturday April 11th, 2020.
