Under a brand new moniker, singer and songwriter yoitsCrash drops his first single of the year, “Change of Heart”. The brooding track is a trap-meets-pop masterpiece that chronicles the very real fallouts that can come with personal growth.
“I wrote “Change of Heart” as a result of ongoing relationships in my life that continue to give me perspective… people, places, and vices included. I changed to fit in and lacked independence. Now that I’m comfortable and on a positive path, the relationships want to make amends…too late for that.” – yoitsCrash
Crash’s decision to transition from Crash Land to yoitsCrash was a way for the artist to ultimately find himself and his own sound. Without the confines of a single genre, he is free to blend all of his varied influences into a sound that is both deeply personal and distinctive. The hip-hop nuance he’s become known for in the songwriter world breathes life into this new project:
“Crash Land was more of an electronic direction that put unforeseen limitations on what I want to create. It felt more like a gimmick than an artist. Being myself, as yoitsCrash, I’ll be able to explore many sides of music while still remaining true to myself.”
yoitsCrash, (aka Crash) is a rapper, singer, and songwriter from New England currently residing in Los Angeles. He first made his mark into the scene in 2017 with “Crash Land”, the first single released on Martin Garrix’s STMPDimprint, raking up over 10 million streams on his debut release.
Crash has since signed a publishing deal with Red Bull Records and has penned hooks for several hip-hop acts including Twista, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Juicy J, A$AP Ferg and Blueface.
Most recently, yoitsCrash finished his EP ‘I Don’t Know What I’m Doing And Neither Do You’ with producer, BOT(formerly of production duo, Crookers). The instant bond between Crash and BOT yields a rejuvenating and progressive body of work about finding comfort in the face of uncertainty. The musical product is a collection of gritty hip-hop songs that burst with imagination, authenticity, and truly unique production elements.
When not working on his own projects, he has been writing for others garnering him cuts with artists such as: KYLE, Qveen Herby, Twista, Flosstradamus, Paul Wall and many more.
