Bay Area native G-Eazy and his Endless Summer Fund are partnering with Larkin Street Youth Services to provide meals to local at-risk youth in San Francisco, every day for an entire month.
He will be funding a local food truck which will help reach community members that cannot easily access meals from Larkin’s drop-in sites. The food truck will provide lunch 7 days a week for the next month, the duration of the shelter-in-place order. The funds are provided by G-Eazy’s charitable initiative, Endless Summer Fund, a longtime partner of Larkin Street Youth Services, a nonprofit working to end youth homelessness.
The food truck is Mi Morena and cooks out of La Cocina, a nonprofit working to solve problems of equity in business ownership for women, immigrants and people of color, which supplies a full equipped commercial kitchen.
“The Bay is my home and I want to help and support my community however I can, which is why I am partnering with Larkin Street Youth Services to provide meals to kids during this crisis,” says G-Eazy. “We are all in this together and I hope others will join me in supporting our communities however they can.”
