KSI returns with a new single, “Wake Up Call” featuring Trippie Redd, with a hilarious visual to accompany. The video is a comedy/spoof of Austin Powers, complete with a mini me and memorable costumes, as well as “outtakes” at the very end. The song is out today via RBC/BMG and available on all streaming platforms.
This song follows KSI’s first single, “Down Like That” featuring Rick Ross, Lil Baby and S-X, which surpassed 100 Million global collective streams mere weeks following its release. That track reached #1 on the iTunes chart and sat in the UK Top 20 for 6 weeks straight on the Official UK Singles Chart, peaking at #10.
KSI has never been one to fit into any box or follow any rules. Following his highly-publicized victory over Logan Paul at Staples Center, “the British-born content creator has continued to push the limits of his medium,” wrote Newsweek. His foray into boxing made a significant impact on the sport, with ESPN stating, “KSI-Logan Paul 2 a win for boxing,” citing a new and younger demo who tuned into the fight, as well as the enthusiastic fans who flocked to the arena.
The rapper, boxer, and all around entertainer has built a significant and loyal following, as witnessed by his impressive streaming numbers. That fanbase includes 30 million YouTube subscribers. Whether making music or climbing into the ring, “KSI continues to prove YouTubers can be legitimate entertainers,” added Newsweek.
