Kodie Shane Releases New "Blooming VOL 1" EP! Sold Out Tour w/ Trippie Redd Continues

On the heels of critical acclaim and sold -out shows, Kodie Shane blossoms like never before today. The mold-breaking artist unveils her brand new BLOOMING Vol. 1 EP. Get it HERE via Epic Records.

She preceded the six-track project with the single “NO RAP KAP” [feat. Trippie Redd]. Not only did “NO RAP KAP” already crack 1 million Spotify streams, but it also received praise. The FADER deemed the music video, “a stunning visual display of the pair’s thick-as-thieves dynamic,” and called the tune, “a harder-edged sequel to her previous collaborations.” Elevator summed it up best as “fire.”

To celebrate the arrival of BLOOMING Vol. 1, Kodie also shares an intimate tour re-cap video today. Soundtracked by the ethereal and entrancing title track, “BLOOMING,” the clip intercuts explosive live footage in front of packed crowds with emotional fan interactions at the merch booth and backstage. It shows the connection she maintains with her diehard audience through a haze of a whole lot of sweet blunt smoke…

BLOOMING Vol. 1 illuminates the full scope of Kodie Shane’s talents. On “NOT TONIGHT,” woozy harmonies glisten through a hypnotic haze. Her vocals take hold through confessional verses as she admits, “I can’t stay the night, unless I want to pay the price” in a high register moan. Meanwhile, airy guitar resounds on “TIMING” where ominous production rises and falls with her fluttering auto-tuned delivery. Additionally, the project boasts the banger “2 MANY,” which was released at the end of 2019. The track is where her confidence pops off, with, Billboard exclaiming, “Mustering up all of the bravado usually reserved for straight male rappers, the star takes the concept of a flex and reconfigures it through a queer lens on ‘2 Many,’ as she spits bars about not being tied down by any one woman.”
