Garren "It’s Complicated" Single Out Now & Announces Album ‘The New (Normal)’

Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Garren prepares for the release of his 11-track album ‘The New (Normal)’ with the announcement that it’s dropping February 28. The Compton-bred Hip-Hop/R&B artist readies fans with the release of a new R&B single “It’s Complicated”.

‘The New (Normal)’ serves as the full-length story to Garren’s previous 2018 EP release, ‘Normal’. The artist is determined to change the stigma and redefine what it means to be “normal”.

Garren brings the heat with ‘90s R&B vibes and slows it down with his new single “It’s Complicated”. Exposing his softer, more vulnerable side, Garren dives deep into the ups and downs of relationships, the triumph of letting your guard down and being able to trust one another.

“That moment when you have no idea which way the relationship is going to turn. “It’s Complicated is the emotional journey of an indecisive thought process about your significant other,” Garren on “It’s Complicated”.

In 2019, Garren had expanded his artistic focus to film, with the creation of his documentary, ‘Normal: The Documentary’. The film offers viewers an honest look into Garren’s personal experiences growing up in south central and Compton, and follows his journey of how he got himself out of that environment through focusing on his career and his music. ‘Normal: The Documentary’ recently won for “Best Documentary Short” at the Los Angeles Movie Awards. More recently, the documentary had been accepted and invited to The St. Louis International Film Festival and was selected to be featured in Cinema for Students Program at the festival, Nov 7-17.

Garren has been a prominent voice among his hometown city of LA and has provenly carved out his own path in music with a slew of singles and his debut EP ‘Normal’ in 2018. In that same year, Garren also earned his first Grammy nomination for his vocal contribution for Nipsey Hussle’s record “Dedication” off his platinum certified 2018 album ‘Victory Lap’. Garren also contributed background vocals to Dreamville’s recent Grammy-nominated album ‘Revenge of the Dreamers III’, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts and achieved platinum certification.
