This colorway was inspired by the Japanese Daruma doll. The Daruma doll is a traditional doll that symbolizes many things depending on the color of the doll; most commonly found in a red, gold and black color. These dolls are symbols of good luck and perseverance. Daruma dolls also embody goal-setting, so this shoe was made to symbolize ambition, growth and accomplishment.

Gel DS Trainer OG – $120
The graphics on this shoe were inspired by traditional Japanese and modern American art. If you look closely at the print on the heel and sole of the shoe, you’ll see a mix between the two styles of art, illustrating the idea of “East meets West.” Fulfillment through self-expression is a key theme within this shoe. Utilizing art and creativity to defy convention and break down the barriers of what is considered traditional art through a non-traditional means.
