PUMA is teaming up with designer, Alexander John for the release of their newest sneaker together: RS-X Mixtape.
The RS-X Mixtape came to be after a correspondence between Alexander John and Roc Nation Exec, Emory Jones in which Emory offered his words of wisdom to the designer saying, “Yo! Seek the tracks and sounds that provide the waves that move you to a higher frequency. There will always be a side A and side B to every story. Eject all negativity and play the positive.” This ultimately became the mantra and inspiration for the shoe.
Key features of the bold and colorful shoe include leather, textile and rubber overlays, PUMA’s signature RS technology on the midsole, hand painted and custom applied graphic treatments by Alexander John, along with a customized box with mixtape graphics. The RS-X Mixtape is the newest launch in PUMA’s continued expansion of their RS sneaker franchise, including the recent launch of their newest silhouette, RS-X3 (Cubed).
Launching in stores on Thursday, 12/12, the shoes will retail for $150.00 and be available for a limited-edition pre-sale starting tomorrow, 12/5.
