Joining the headliners is Naira Marley, a pioneer of the Afro-Bashment scene and London underground MC, he is known for fusing his Lagos accent with different genres to create an innovative sound. Also confirmed to perform, Washington, DC-born rapper Goldlink who released his globally-sounding sophomore album Diaspora earlier this year to critical acclaim. Self proclaimed “Soundgod” aka Nigerian singer/songwriter Runtown who has worked with the likes of Rhianna and Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire is another high-profile artist destined to make serious waves at Afro Nation Puerto Rico.
South African star Sho Madjozi has made her mark in the U.S. with her viral hit “John Cena”, she plays the festival for the first time next March in addition to buzzing young songstress Jada Kingdom. As with all Afro Nation festivals, Nigerian talent is on point with Eddy Kenzo, Flavour and Niniola all confirmed to perform.
With even more artists still to be revealed, the debut edition of Afro Nation Puerto Rico is set to make a serious impact on the US festival calendar next Spring. General tickets on sale now.
