Grammy Award-Winning R&B Singer/Songwriter Elijah Blake Releases New Single "5 Gold Rings" Via Upcoming Holiday Project ‘Holiday Love’

2x Grammy Award-Winning contemporary R&B singer/songwriter Elijah Blake has released his latest single “5 Gold Rings,” arriving ahead of his first-ever holiday project, Holiday Love, comprised of 7 tracks: 6 original and 1 classic, due out November 8.

Offering a trap Christmas version akin to “The 12 Days of Christmas,” “5 Gold Rings” finds Elijah flexing both of his singing and rapping abilities over a bouncy, head-nodding trap beat. Lyrically, Elijah showcases his inner trapper, touting “5 gold rings, like I’m Kobe,” coupled with usual content mentions of blowing money on expensive gifts and enjoying the company of beautiful women. On the single, Elijah effortless ping pongs between the rapper lifestyle and things that contribute to the holidays, like stockings, mistletoes, sleigh rides and Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer.

“5 GoldRings” stands as the first-look single to Elijah’s upcoming Holiday Love EP, which arrives ahead of his early 2020 album Medusa, and follows 2018’s self-progressed EP Bijoux 23 and 2019’s joint-project with Jordin Sparks, 1990 Forever.

Notably, Elijah Blake is recognized for his pioneering efforts in the birth of Alternative-R&B, having made his mark penning Usher’s No. 1 hit “Climax.” Previously, he’s collaborated with and written for the likes of Mary J.
