DropLabs Technology™ is the first of its kind, integrating audio and footwear so that you can actually FEEL sound. The first product is the EP 01 – sneakers unlike anything on the market that deliver a truly immersive audio-sensory experience.
How it works: Via bluetooth, audio input is converted into vibrations that stimulate nerve receptors in your feet – in sync with the sound in your ears – for a range of feeling and intensity throughout your whole body. The experience translates to feeling like you’re front row at a concert when listening to your favorite song, inserts you into the action while watching a movie, and makes you feel like you’re running alongside the main characters in a video game.
Why it’s interesting: While the technology makes entertainment (music, movies, gaming) much more real, it also has other applications, like helping the Deaf/HOH community hear sound for the first time. DropLabs is pioneering possibilities for tech that are sensory, not data driven.
Where to buy: The EP 01’s are available for pre-order at www.droplabs.com
