Graduating at the top of the hip-hop class and headed for the top of the charts in 2019, internet-breaking rapper and social media phenomenon DDG unveils his full-length debut album, Valedictorian [Epic Records], today.
Get it HERE.
To celebrate the arrival of the record, he takes over Times Square in New York City. This afternoon, he will personally host a pop-up meet-n-greet for fans underneath a massive electronic billboard for Valedictorian. He expects diehard listeners to flood the historic locale, so get there early to celebrate with DDG on his big day as he advances to the big leagues!
Additionally, he just dropped the red hot music video for his latest single “PUSH.” His casual, yet catchy cadence collides with a bold, barely above-a-whisper hook, “Ah push it.” The accompanying cinematic visual sees him turn up once again with slick swagger and spirit. He takes over a lavish mansion surrounded by models before flexing his own moves in front of a lavish estate. It captures his vibe through and through.
Meanwhile, he continues to garner critical acclaim. Complex featured him in an in-depth profile, proclaiming “ It’s intriguing to look at the rise of Pontiac, Michigan’s own DDG.” Moreover, “PUSH” has put up numbers with over 2.5 million Spotify streams and counting.
Everything set the stage for Valedictorian though. This 18-track opus speaks to his rapid rise. In 2015, he proudly stood at the head of the senior class as the valedictorian of his Pontiac, MI high school. He bounced from college in order to enroll in “real-life” university. Minted as a self-made multi-millionaire, he details the ups and downs of this journey on the album, dispensing hard-earned lessons over his hypnotic hybrid of hip-hop and R&B.

Hip-hop has a new renaissance man with DDG. He lives up to the title of Valedictorian with an A-plus body of work.
Standing out with his sharp signature flow, DDG put Pontiac, MI on the map as an undeniable presence online and force behind the mic. He broke through to mainstream popularity by teaming with Famous Dex for “Lettuce.” Capitalizing on this momentum, he dropped the 2018 independent project Take Me Serious, which catapulted him to the forefront of rap’s next era. Standouts on a stacked tracklisting, “Arguments” racked up 27 million YouTube views and 13 million streams as “Givenchy” followed closely on its heels with 22 million YouTube views and 12 million streams. Inking a deal between his own DDG Entertainment and Epic Records in 2019, he’s positioned to pop off from Pontiac and onto the global stage in 2019.
