Following his incredible performance that has been consistent throughout the season, Carolina Panthers’ running back Christian McCaffrey, at 23-years-old, is the youngest player ever to reach the coveted 99 overall rating in Madden NFL. He has officially joined the Madden 99 Club becoming only the 6th running back – Barry Sanders, Marshall Faulk, Ladanian Tomlinson, Chris Johnson and Adrian Peterson – to achieve 99 OVR and the first since Madden NFL 25.
McCaffrey started the season rated 91 OVR and has played fiercely – pushing Madden NFL Ratings Adjusters to keep a close eye on his performance throughout the season and steadily increase his rating. Madden NFL Ratings Adjusters attended the Panthers’ practice and the game last week to witness McCaffrey’s performance first-hand to confirm he was worthy of the 99 Club. His performance on the field left no doubt.
McCaffrey shared: “It’s unreal to be the youngest player ever to reach 99 overall in Madden NFL and to know the adjuster team feels my performance on the field warrants the highest rating is extremely flattering. Very few athletes achieve the 99 rating and I’m honored to join such an elite group.”
To celebrate this momentous feat, Madden Ratings Adjusters presented McCaffrey with a 99 Club trophy on behalf of Madden NFL.
