Rapper/singer/poet/activist Chika just released a brand new single and video for “Can’t Explain It” featuring R&B veteran Charlie Wilson. The song samples “So Into You” from another R&B legend Tamia, perfectly intertwining Chika’s new school feel and her love of the music that came before her. The visual for “Can’t Explain It,” directed by Chika and Top Shelf Junior, reimagines her as “Dwayne Wayne” from the iconic 90s TV show A Different World. Chika plays Dwayne attending HillMayne College, working to win over her crush “Whitley.”
