Today, Portland Trail Blazers point guard, 4X NBA All-Star, actor, and rapper Damian Lillard, aka Dame D.O.L.L.A., drops the deluxe version of his third studio album, Big D.O.L.L.A. via Front Page Music, his own record label. The 16-track album includes six additional pure rap songs while incorporating today’s upbeat, trap-infused, catchy rhythms and some top hip-hop acts.
This next chapter comes on the heels of his album Big D.O.L.L.A, which was released on August 9, 2019 and quickly landed at #8 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. Lead singles “Dre Grant” with accompanying visuals to match and “Money Ball” [featuring Jeremih, Derrick Milano, and Danny From Sobrante] which visuals just released yesterday quickly became fan favorites, the first single amassing over 1 million YouTube views to date. Big D.O.L.L.A. quickly garnered praise with coverage on Dame spanning The Fader, Complex, Los Angeles Times, Billboard, and many more.
Big D.O.L.L.A., the deluxe version, features collaborations with premiere hip hop stars including Mozzy, Lil Wayne, Jadakiss, G-Eazy, Lil Durk, and more. Tracks 11-16 are the six additional songs and remixes not seen on the original album including “I Rest My Case,” a final diss track Dame released as a follow up to a week long rap feud with Shaquille O’Neal, in which Rolling Stone said “Shaq started the war, but — for now — Dame did more than enough to finish it.” This began when Dame said he was a better rapper than O’Neal on the Joe Budden Podcast sparking a viral beef that garnered national attention. XXL says Dame is “Beyond Competing For The Best Rapper In The NBA”.
