Kilo Kish’s powerful new song “Bite Me” is available today. “Bite Me” is the first single from Kilo Kish’s forthcoming EP Redux due out on Blacksmith Records in December. In the video for “Bite Me,” Kish belts out a scream, then vents with her tender voice on display, about distracting frustrations, from men not taking her seriously creatively, to the toxicity of the news.
In this fourth collaboration with producer Ray Brady, Redux explores Kish’s varying musical influences, including electronic, synth, alternative, hip hop, and dance-punk. The title Redux is emblematic of Kilo Kish’s career, marking a revival of creative power and personal authorship, bringing her and listeners an increased freedom and boldness.
Sonically, the EP is less experimental than the music she’s been putting out since 2012. Kish has worked within a number of different genres, electronic and hip-hop with rock influences, and has collaborated with the likes of Childish Gambino, Vince Staples, Earl Sweatshirt, SBTRKT, the Internet, and A$AP Ferg. Kish calls her 2018 electro-infused Mothe the “sister project” to Redux.

Celebrated by Pitchfork as having the gift to “transform her racing thoughts into crackling electricity,” Kish, is also known for creating vivid visual and wearable art. Kish has most recently worked with Rodarte as well as Maison Kitsuńe, Chanel, Adidas, Levis, Converse and Tommy Hilfiger. She’s directed several of her own music videos as well as for other artists and has presented a myriad of multimedia installations. “Kilo Kish is the type of multi-disciplinary artist you can never quite pin down but wouldn’t want to anyway lest you risk clipping her wings,” noted Paper.
Accompanying the release of Redux, Kish, who Vogue has called “a true Renaissance woman,” will present an immersive audio-visual installation at the HVW8 Gallery in Los Angeles. Details for the installation will be announced shortly.
