Richmond, VA’s own Chris Scholar has released the creative and special effects-laced video to his 2019 standout track “Hardly Ever Miss.” The multi-hyphenated and modern creative, who serves as a singer, songwriter, rapper, director and editor, and who has notably worked with 2 Chainz on ‘Rule The World’ and Chris Brown on ‘Indigo,’ draws new energy on his latest offering, produced by Bevin “Womatic Tracks” Anderson.
On “Hardly Ever Miss,” Chris, also known as “#TheVirginiaBoy,” offers quip and hard-hitting lyrics, tip-toeing the line between modesty and arrogance. The accompanying multi-scaped and stimulating visual was directed and edited by Chris, and has already garnered over 12M views since its September 5 release. Chris’ latest release arrives ahead of his forthcoming EP ‘Director’s Cut.’
In addition to providing direction and editing on his own projects, Chris has previously shared his directing and editing talents with major acts like Trippie Redd, August Alsina, Wiz Khalifa, TANK, and more. After gaining notoriety in his hometown of Richmond as an R&B crooner, premiering on BET’s 106 & Park in 2013, and working with multiple notable acts, Chris Scholar continues his creative ascension, effortlessly grabbing new eyes and ears.
