Today, Grammy-Award nominated, multi-platinum producer and artist Murda Beatz released the visuals for “Shopping Spree” [featuring Sheck Wes and Lil Pump], which is a humorous compilation of the trio spending their wealth on unrealistically attainable items. While, Murda has been a featured artist on singles like “FEFE” by Tekashi 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj and “GRoCERIES” by Chance the Rapper, this release marks his debut single as an artist via Interscope Records.
Directed by Dan Streit, the video follows Murda Beatz, Sheck Wes and Lil Pump as they go on outrageous shopping spree. Each of them has a satirical anecdote where they buy something that would not normally be for sale, such as a baby, someone’s wheelchair, or the clothes a sales associate is wearing. This video pokes fun at the power of wealth on society.
Murda Beatz continues to dominate the Billboard charts with his signature beats and smash hits, most notably, the 2018 multi-platinum “Nice For What” with Drake which spent 4 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts and 8 weeks total.
After being nominated for 5 Grammy-Awards and 3 BET Awards, he went on a string of festival runs starting with Coachella where he brought out the legendary DMX and others.
