In the third and final day of the 2019 SC30 Select Camp, athletes continued learning and training from the best in the game with Stephen Curry, Dell Curry, and Stephen’s team of world-class trainers. For the finale in Oakland, campers took the court for a Showcase game at Merritt College. Team TCC – coached by Stephen – took home the win over Team Just Us – coached by Dell – with a final score of 108-101.
Other highlights included Azzi Fudd taking home the 3-point contest win for the second year, and Jalen Suggs being awarded Most Outstanding Player honors for the entire camp.
Stephen Curry’s SC30 Select Camp launched in 2014 to share world-class knowledge and skill development with elite high-school basketball players from across the country. By the third year of the camp, Stephen was looking for ways to further shine a spotlight on the players’ unique talents and get the local basketball community more involved in his signature event. In 2017, the SC30 Select Showcase Game made its debut.
This year, the talent, energy and competition reached new levels on the court with high-flying dunks and slick dribbling, leading to raucous eruptions from the crowd and even Stephen himself. Team TCC – coached by Stephen – took home the win over Team Just Us – coached by Dell Curry – with a final score of 108-101. Team names were inspired by Stephen’s collegiate and NBA career teams, “TCC” alluding back to the Davidson College basketball team’s motto: Trust, Care, Commitment. Team “Just Us” is a saying the Warriors use to rally together in big moments.
