Additionally, AFROPUNK SOLUTION SESSIONS returns for its second Brooklyn installment. The people’s forum and 2019 WEBBY Honoree podcast is hosted by social activist and podcaster, Bridget Todd and writer and producer, Yves Jeffcoat. The 2019 Brooklyn programs will take place on Friday, August 23rd (6pm-9pm) and Saturday, August 24th (11am-4pm) at Roulette Brooklyn. Friday programming will focus on Taking Up Space and finding liberation through self validation with each day will have dynamic activists, artists, journalists, and top innovators including Elaine Brown, April Reign, Denarii Grace, Elaine Welteroth, Kimberly Drew, and Tamika D. Mallory on Friday. Saturday will focus on Reclaiming the Village and holding our communities accountable with Tatyana Fazlalizadeh, Indigo Mateo, Tarana Burke, Nikole Hannah-Jones, Janaya ‘Future’ Khan, Professor Wendy Greene, Richie Reseda, Jamira Burley, Mychal Denzel Smith, Joel L. Daniels, Charise Frazier, and Gianni Lee.
