In an effort to shift sneaker culture this summer Ewing Athletics has teamed up with hip-hop inspired apparel label Famous Nobodys. Known for bold design that makes waves, the brand rebuilt the Ewing Sport Lite from the ground up to achieve a completely fresh look that makes a statement.
Born of the Bronx, the birthplace of hip-hop, Famous Nobodys continues to lead in the arena of fashion with no barriers on street aura. “Since 2015, our brand has been steadily building toward greatness,” says Christian Vazquez of Famous Nobodys. “With the release of our newest collaboration with Patrick Ewing’s sneaker brand that greatness has reached a pinnacle in our history.”
Originally introduced in 1993 as Patrick Ewing’s first cross training shoe, the Ewing Sport Lite is a midcut sneaker built for the rigors of traversing the field, the blacktop, and the city. This new take features full-length EVA midsoles for all-day comfort, buttery soft suede uppers, gum bottoms, and bright flashes of fuchsia for a drippy pop style. The tongues flaunt collaborative Ewing X Nobodys branding while the heels sport ‘Famous Nobodys’ in fuchsia embroidery.
Pricing: The Famous Nobodys x Ewing Sport Lite releases on July 31 and retails for $130. It will be available in very limited numbers exclusively at EwingAthletics.com in sizes 5-16 and in-store at the Famous Nobodys flagship in the Bronx.
