Today, Reebok’s ‘Sport The Unexpected’ platform is getting an over-the-top style makeover courtesy of “Nails”, a new campaign led by global superstar and Reebok brand partner Cardi B.
“Nails,” a short film starring Cardi and a crew of beauty-shop regulars, brings us closer to Cardi than ever as we go hand-in-hand with her at her local nail salon. The spot quickly takes a captivating turn, bringing her prized nails to life in a completely unexpected way. The film is a salute to Cardi’s own life experience, which saw her challenge expectations to become a self-made maven and incorporates boundary-pushing nail art that has become an iconic feature of her style.
The Reebok Classic Club C Vintage, as featured in the “Nails” spot, is a sneaker that’s had an unexpected journey to becoming an icon. Originally launched in the ‘80s, The Club C was a performance shoe before transcending its functional origins to become a standard of contemporary style. An artist, mother, and Grammy Award winner, Cardi B is walking, talking, red-carpet-slaying proof that those who defy convention and challenge expectations are the ones who truly define what it means to be classic. Cardi can also be seen sporting the Reebok Classic Vector Crew throughout the film.
The Reebok Classics Club C is an ’80s staple, a clean court silhouette. It’s available via Reebok.com in men’s and women’s sizing for $70 and $50 for kids.
