To continue the celebration of Pride Month and honor the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, Todd Snyder partnered with New Balance to redesign the beloved 990 silhouette. The LOVE 997, the newest iteration of this classic design, has a summer color palette featuring what we call white peach, cedar quartz and copper rose. The design marries the plush softness of suede coupled with a perforated leather to guarantee lightness and breathability for warmer days and dynamic activity. The muted but bold colors also feature New Balance and Made in USA in rainbow embroidery as a nod to the loving culture for which it stands. A reflective strip and cushioning Encap technology bring a dose of practical innovation to this sleek aesthetic.

To launch the LOVE 997 the month of the NYC Pride March, Todd Snyder collaborated with The Lesbian and Gay Big Apple Corps, who’ve made it their business to march to the sound of love and joy. The Big Apple Corps has participated in the NYC Pride March for over four decades. With musicians from the Big Apple Corps marching band, the talented Jillian Isacaro directed and Root Studios produced the launch of the LOVE 997. These musicians use their talent to delight, empower and inspire. Their dedication to sharing the message of love through music and marching is clear. They’ve inspired countless people with their commitment to the movement, not to mention toe-tapping musicality. We couldn’t be more proud that they were the very first to cut a rug in this new design. The Big Apple Corps embodies the values of love and equality that this march is all about, making them the ideal partners.
