Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures team up with Steve Aoki’s fashion label, Dim Mak Collection for an exclusive capsule collection honoring the upcoming film GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS.
Dim Mak Collection, founded by two-time Grammy nominated DJ and producer Steve Aoki, will be releasing the limited edition capsule collection exclusively online today (May 13, 2019) at DimMakCollection.com. The capsule collection will feature a range of merchandise including; the “Godzilla vs. Dim Mak Figurine Tee,” the “Godzilla vs. Dim Mak Vintage Poster Tee;” and the “Godzilla vs. Dim Mak Monster King Hoodie” ($55-$85); debuting a total of three new graphics that are a colorful and energetic take on the timeless Japanese icon. The Godzilla franchise celebrates its 65th anniversary this year.
“I’m excited and honored to have this opportunity to collaborate with Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures on the latest, most ambitious reboot of the Godzilla legacy,” says Aoki. “Our new collection blends elements of vintage Japanese Godzilla origins with today’s cultural aesthetic.”
“I have had this huge collector’s edition statue of Godzilla for years, standing guard in the main room of my home,” says Aoki. “I’ve come to think of it as my guardian monster through a number of albums, milestone projects and countless memories with loved ones. Godzilla is one of the most iconic and global characters ever created and it bridges my Japanese heritage with my American culture.”
GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS releases nationwide on May 31, 2019.
