Last year was a productive year for Moneybagg Yo, the Memphis rapper didn’t waste any time in the studio dropping three projects last year 2 Heartless, Bet on Me, and Reset. All of which peaked at the top 20 on Billboard’s top 200 and top 10 in the Hip-Hop and R&B charts.
After a year full of content from Moneybagg you would think he would sit back, relax and let the rap game breathe and it seemed that it would happen that way since 2019 started off quiet for him. Yet, just six months after the release of his last album Reset, Moneybagg Yo follows up with his third installment to his Heartless series 43va Heartless.
There are high expectations and satisfaction with this album from Moneybagg Yo. In an interview with Complex he explains his attitude towards the project and how he’s getting back to his core fans and the streets saying
“I’m doing this, this strictly for the streets right here this strictly for the streets. This what they ask for, this what they been waiting for they want that old Bag so I’m giving it to em’ and the album strictly just new levels, new vibes and different productions and all that. The content huge, larger and everything you gone see a difference from this and the [last] album.”
43va Heartless features 14 tracks, with appearances from some of the hottest names in rap including Gunna, City Girls, Offset, Lil Durk, Kevin Gates and former label mate Blac Youngsta.
Below, you can check out the new release, along with Moneybagg Yo’s first single and visual from the album, “Blac Money.”
