First Single Off, LIYU EP, Due Out July 19
Today, Toronto native, singer/songwriter, and rapper Keffa just released “Disconnect,” the first single from his forthcoming Liyu EP, due out July 19th via indie label Culvert Music.
Produced by frequent collaborators Jhyve, Brandon Leger & CVRE, “Disconnect” depicts a break up between a couple, where one isn’t yet willing to lose the connection they’ve built. Keffa sings from the perspective of the person going through mixed emotions and making the conscious decision to disconnect, hence the title. Lyrics such as “I love you but I’m leaving you, it’s not you, it’s me…” perfectly explains his thoughts. “Disconnect” is the follow up single to “Loner,” which released in November, peaked at #29 on Spotify’s Canada Viral 50 Charts, and amassed over 400K plays on Soundcloud.
