This weekend, the Jumpman came to life in Las Vegas for the 2019 Jordan Brand Classic, which took place at T-Mobile Arena. The country’s top male and female high school athletes showed up on the court and for the community during various moments over the last three days:
Thursday kicked off with an improv media training session with Las Vegas Golden Knights host, Mark Shunock.

“It was so fun we started off being really cool then all of a sudden we are able to relax around each other,” said UCLA bound Jaden Owens on the event. “Also, now we’re now able to run on the court and be open with each other and play better cause we got to vibe and hang out together.”
The next day, the players took the court for the first time together, sporting the Russell Westbrook Why Not Zer0.2 and Air Jordan XXXIII Low, and received a surprise visit from Jordan Brand family member Travis Scott, who gifted them with pairs of the Air Jordan I High “Cactus Jack.”.

The weekend also featured a number of events focused on the local Las Vegas community, including hosting junior high students from Hoop City Basketball for a friendly competition, fun & games, with a surprise delivery of Jordans, as well as a special on-court donation of the AJ III AWOKs to high school girls from the local nonprofit, Project 150.
