On Friday April 12th, Puma Basketball hosted a spectra crossover clinic hosted by the one and only, God Shammgod at the Gauchos Gym in the Bronx to help celebrate the launch of the Puma uproar spectra.
Attendees enjoyed a crossover clinic with the Dallas Mavericks assistant coach where they participated in a various of drills and enjoyed two shoot-around contest. Attendees also got an opportunity to hoop in the uproar spectra which— was very comfortable and provided much needed support and cushion.
We got an opportunity to chat with God Shammgod to talk Dirk Nowitzki, Luka Doncic’s Rookie Of The Year award chances, the puma uproar spectra, Nipsey Hussle’s passing and much more.

RESPECT.: So you’re the assistant coach of the Dallas Mavericks, how cool is it to know that Luka Doncic could possibly win Rookie of The year?
Shammgod: It’s great, you know Luka Doncic is a great player so if he win’s rookie of the year that would be amazing.
Do you think he will be first in-line to receive it?
Yes, I think he will be first in-line to get it. He had an amazing year, I know Trey Young real well and I did stuff with him along time ago so I would be happy for the both of them. But I definitely think it’s Luka’s year.
Dirk Nowitzki just retired what could you say about him and his career as an NBA player?
I think Dirk is just an amazing ambassador of basketball. Him and Tim Duncan both are amazing ambassadors. If you see the love that him and D-Wade got you can tell they was great people not just great players. It was just an honor to work with Dirk for the last 3 years and he’s just the most humblest superstar you would ever be around.
How do you feel about the passing of Nipsey Hussle, who was also apart of the Puma team.
I was heartbroken, it wasn’t just that he was apart of Puma but I actually had a personal relationship with Nipsey so it’s just heartbreaking. We lost a legend. We lost a king. Like he said the Marathon will continue. With puma we will make sure all of his dreams come true.
I see you rocking the Puma uproar spectra’s, are they comfortable and how do you feel about them?
They feel good. I think they’re an amazing color, lemon drop. It’s a beautiful color. I just think Puma is doing amazing thing’s right now.
The NBA Draft is coming up, who do you think is taking that 1st pick?
Zion of course, Zion’s a great player. Ja Morant is a great player, I know him and his family well so you can’t go wrong with either of those choices.
