Lasso, the first company to utilize biomedical engineering in the design of sportswear, announces their endorsement agreements with WNBA player Angel McCoughtry and Instagram persona, basketball streetball legend Bone Collector. Lasso’s Head of Athlete Relations is recent NFL Hall of Fame inductee, Champ Bailey, who was instrumental in bringing these athletes on board.
Lasso is the first in-garment joint support backed by medical technology that has been shown to provide twice as much ankle support as traditional athletic socks. Lasso socks are a favorite item for professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, and the Olympics.

McCoughtry is a forward for the Atlanta Dream and has incorporated Lasso into her training and injury recovery on and off the court, as seen on her Instagram page. McCoughtry is also a two-time Olympic gold medalist and an entrepreneur and media personality. Larry Williams, who goes by Bone Collector, has amassed almost a million followers on Instagram due to his ball-handling skills, aggressive streetball playing, and relationships with NBA players. He was named one of Complex Magazine’s 25 Greatest Streetball Players of All Time, and is one of three streetball players who was included in EA Sports’ NBA Live 19.
“We’re thankful to be working with Angel and Bone Collector in this capacity. Angel happens to be recovering from a knee injury and has been able to incorporate Lasso into her recovery process. She’s an incredible athlete and a role model for millions, and we’re thankful to be able to support her as she continues her return to the court and on the court dominance. Additionally, Bone Collector brings his own personal style, cultural impact, and sports relationships to our rapidly growing business. He’s extremely involved with young athletes and helping to inspire and teach the next generation. We’re extremely excited for them both to be a part of the Lasso team,” says Partha Unnava, Lasso CEO and Founder.
Lasso holds an impressive roster of stakeholders, including radio host and music personality DJ Skee, celebrity sports rehabilitation doctor Dr. Patrick Khaziran, and VR business leader Guy Primus, who all serve as official advisors to Lasso. Recent bridge round investors also include NBA legend Kurt Thomas, co-founder of VaynerSports AJ Vaynerchuk, Chief Innovation Officer at the PGA Arjun Chowdri, and professional poker players Dan Colman, Jeff Gross, and Charlie Hook.
Lasso’s mission is to create access to preventative health, especially amongst youths. Lasso’s patent-pending TrueCompression™ technology provides more than twice the amount of support of a traditional athletic sock, to help stabilize the ankle and improve movement. Lasso studied kinesio-taping and ankle braces to create an all-in-one ankle support solution that is built into the comfort of an athletics and sports sock for men, women and kids, helping to prevent costly ankle injuries.
