Reebok Classics is excited to share the Instapump Fury Prototype, a nod to the original hype sneaker, the Instapump Fury OG.
Created by Reebok’s specialist team: the Reebok Advanced Concepts (RAC), a division dedicated to pushing the limits of design in pursuit of innovation, the Instapump Fury debuted in 1994 and its bold, tech-infused construction almost single-handedly redefined what was possible in sneaker design.
Designed with the unapologetic ethos of go bold or go home, today’s protoype release stays true to what sneakerheads can’t resist about the Instapump. With its iconic Pump technology front and center, the sneakers’ upper remains a direct descendant of the original, boasting a round-toe design, cut-out side panels and vibrant aesthetic. From the citron yellow chunked up split midsole to the classic ‘The Pump’ logo riding high on the inflatable widget, this 1:1 remake will satisfy Instapump Fury aficionados and newbie fans alike. Each pair will be individually numbered (1 – 1994), marking the individual silhouettes of the limited collection.
The Instapump is the pinnacle of futuristic sneakers, blending style with substance. Inspired by a recently discovered photo of the RAC office in 1994, where the Instampump was initially created, the Instapump Fury Prototype key visual recreates the environment down to the very last detail – including the pencils and rulers from Steven Smith.
The Instapump Fury Prototype will be available on March 22nd at www.Reebok.com/Instapump for $200.
