With help from Under Armour, Chase and Charlotte Housing Authority, the Stephen and Ayesha Curry Family Foundation today unveiled a revitalization of the Carole Hoefener Center, a renovation that included the gymnasium, education center, kitchen and much more.
And, what better way to celebrate the grand re-opening than by hosting a community celebration featuring a shooting competition – Curry vs Curry style – with Dell, Sonya, Stephen, Ayesha, Seth, Callie Rivers, Sydel Curry-Lee and Damion Lee.
- Some young chefs-to-be also helped break in the new kitchen and cooked up recipes from Ayesha’s cookbook to serve to Stephen and Ayesha.
- Special guests stopped by to show support, including Torrey Smith (Carolina Panthers WR), Dennis Smith Jr. (NY Knicks PG), Brandon Armstrong (@BdotAdot5), among others.
“We are proud to partner with the Curry family and Under Armour to help refurbish this center, which has been an anchor in our community for decades,” said Clarence Nunn, head of Chase Middle Market Banking in the Southeast.“This state-of-the-art education space will give students an opportunity to learn and grow in a hands on, collaborative environment.”
