Stephen Curry and DonorsChoose.org have teamed up on eBay for Charity, where fans will have the chance to bid on a pair of Curry’s custom, game-worn and signed “Moon Landing” Under Armour Curry 6 basketball shoes – one of only two pairs ever made. The sneakers were worn in the January 3, 2019 home game vs. the Houston Rockets at Oracle Arena.
“For us, this collaboration is about bringing awareness and supporting significant education, health and safety initiatives to eBay and the Warriors’ hometown in California,” said Brenda Halkias, General Manager of eBay for Charity. “The Stephen and Ayesha Curry Family Foundation and DonorsChoose.org aligns with eBay’s focus to use the power of our platform to connect passionate communities with the causes that are important to them. With this special charity campaign, we’re inviting our customers to shop with a purpose.”
Sales from last year’s eBay for Charity collaboration with Curry and Under Armour raised upwards of $45,000.
- Sale will be live from January 7th – 13th
- ebay.com/sc4STEM | Campaign will benefit the Stephen Curry + Ayesha Curry Family Foundation
- All proceeds will support STEM education initiatives in Bay Area schools through collaboration with Donors Choose
“Every child deserves the opportunity to acquire the skills they’ll need to live successful, productive lives. One of the most effective ways to set our children up for success is to ensure they receive excellent STEM education,” said Stephen Curry. “Ayesha and I are passionate about making sure that STEM education is accessible and available to all children in the Bay Area.”
