Pimp C X Ewing Athletics: Ewing 33 HI & Rogue Celebrate Legendary Rapper Pimp C

Ewing Athletics has unveiled its latest footwear collection that celebrates historic rapper Pimp C. To usher in the holiday season, Ewing is honoring UGK co-founder Pimp C with two incredibly limited shoes: a 33 HI and a ROGUE.

“I wanted the shoes to be unique,” said Chinara Butler, Pimp C’s wife. “Chad [Pimp C] loved custom sneakers that included unique elements like fur, alligator skin, and snakeskin. My goal for both pairs was to offer fans an opportunity to own a pair of sneakers derived from shoes he actually owned.”

The 33 HI taps into Pimp C’s southern style with a maroon/white Houston look that is highlighted with faux croc leather. The ROGUE ‘Pimp C’ also flaunts the croc leather in a maroon build and calls out UGK’s home state of Texas on the tongue. Gold accents, bold PIMP C embroidery, and gum bottoms honor the rapper’s trill style.

Both celebratory Pimp C shoes retail for $140 each and fewer than 400 pairs of each shoe have been produced. The footwear will debut at a launch event at Houston’s Eight One sneaker boutique on December 22 to honor the fallen legend. Pairs will be available that same day exclusively at EwingAthletics.com in sizes 5-16.
