Working with Footaction has been a blast, as I’m able to be myself and make each of the roles from the campaign fit my personality. – Guapdad 4000 on working with Footaction

RESPECT.: How is it to be working with Footaction for their #No1Way to Cozy Campaign?
Guapdad 4000: Working with Footaction has been a blast, as I’m able to be myself and make each of the roles from the campaign fit my personality. A lot of the lines are adlibbed – they really let me have fun with the creative. It’s also one of my first national campaigns, so it’s exciting to work with a retailer that I’ve shopped in before for my fits. As you know, I always like to keep things fresh and funny for my fans, so I think they’ll enjoy as I scam my way into being a dentist, opera singer and waiter.
Which pair of kicks are your favorite at the moment?
Right now I’m really into the Timberland x Champion 6″ Shearling Boots. They are super comfortable and perfect for being cozy all-day and when I’m on the go. Plus I know I’ll be showing off great style.
Being from Oakland, do you think the Bay Area sound and style has transcended to mainstream?
I would say it definitely has. Partly because of the influence of Da Doman, Sobrbe, Kendrick Lamar & the return of Hyphy Tyga. There has been a ton of great music that has originated from the Bay. It’s all about love and good posture.

If you could do a collaborative tape with any artist, who would it be?
I would collaborate with my good friends Jigga Juice, Swae Lee, Buddy Plo, Gashi, and Bryson
Why do you have an obsession with du-rags?
It’s waves man, everyone should be excited about waves! Always stay dipping young Kings.
What kind of advice could you give to someone about staying cozy?
Coziness is a lifestyle, not something you take on and off or scam your way into (and that’s coming from the scam boy himself). It’s about being yourself no matter who you’re around or what situation you’re in. When it comes to looking cozy, I know that Footaction always delivers the head-to-toe looks for being comfortable and in-style all season long. All you need is Sherpa, fleece and one of my du-rag to kick-back and be extra cozy.
