On the heels of the Suede’s 50th anniversary, Global sports brand PUMA keeps the celebrations going with the launch of the Suede 50 PUMA x STAPLE collection. Inspired by Jeff Staple’s street culture legacy and iconic design, the Staple Pigeon like the Suede is a streetwear icon #ForAllTime.
It all started with a shirt that Staple wore when he walked into a boutique in New York City. One that he printed in his silkscreen class at University landed him with his very first order. Ever since, there was no stopping the rise of the Staple brand, growing organically and soon gaining immense popularity around the world. You must know someone or spent a fortune on the reseller market if you have a pair of the very limited Suede Pigeons released in 2013. Today, the Staple Pigeon is one of the most recognizable and iconic symbols in street culture. Its legacy is alive with the latest Suede 50 capsule drop of sneakers and apparel.
Drawing upon Jeff’s experience as a sneakerhead and street culture insider, the Suede 50 x Staple infuses the PUMA classic with the gritty, resilient energy of New Yorkers. A frost gray suede upper is decked with gray laces and pony hair heels. The ombre foil Formstrip and Georgia peach accents serve pigeon vibes. An extra set of peach laces make switching it up easy.
To match the kicks, a gray PUMA x Staple tee with a slightly oversize fit showcases the SUPER PUMA Cat cartoon logo combined with the Staple Pigeon logo as an ode to the continued partnership. Clean and classic, this chunky gray PUMA x Staple hoodie is designed for comfort and style with T7 panels on the sleeves and a woven label. A monochromatic embossed SUPER PUMA Pigeon logo on the front is understated fresh. The PUMA x Staple T7 Windbreaker is water repellent to keep collectors fly in all weather.
