RESPECT.: How does it feel to be back in Charlotte?
Jay 305: It felt good. They told me I was here about 8 years ago, that’s a long time. This is the first time I know forsure and being the new me.

Hell yeah! They was turnt up, top 5 best cities on the tour already.
Should we expect any new music from you?
Hell yeah! 2019 I’m dropping some new stuff and I have a new song out called ‘Sweat it out’ if y’all haven’t heard that go get that please. It’s going up and it’s live. A song the girls can shake they a** to and workout to. It’s made for the girls but when that song come on I advise my young n***** when that song come on ,go grab a woman by the waist and dance with her you feel me? But in 2019 I will have a whole lotta more music.
Any artist that you haven’t worked with that you would like to work with?
Lil Uzi my n****, Playboi Carti my n****, Travis is my guy he was on my last album ‘Taking all bets,’. But f*** it I’ma just say Drake. I think me and Drake would make some type of ratchet record. Let’s just get ratchet bro. (laughs) Then my ratchet cousin he not my real cousin but J.I.D we gone do a record, we was in New York going up. I like Cardi’s style. I f*** with A-Boogie I like his style. I like NBA Youngboy, he’s like the top 5 out of all these young n***** right now. Because he really tells a story and it’s from the heart. I like Gunna too. I met Gunna a few times. Rich LaFlair he’s dope too. That’s the homie.
What category do you put your music in as far as what you talk about and your sound?
I made a new category called, Gangsta Pop. I’m going pop you know what I’m saying? But it’s still going to be gangsta so it’s called Gangsta Pop and then on the other end we blues. I’m a blues artist. I tell stories from the Ghetto, I’m from LA South Central.
Are you a fan of Comedy?
I love comedy. I think I could be a comedian.
Kevin Hart or Katt Williams?
See I gotta break it down. I’ma say Katt Williams, why? Because Katt Williams is more of a relatable funny. Kevin Hart is like a mainstream funny to me. If that disrespect n***** I don’t give a f***. But that’s how I feel about the two. But I’m gone pick Katt Williams. He’s a funny mother-f***a. He a real n****. Kevin Hart got goals too.
Were you a fan of LeBron going to LA?
LeBron coming to LA was like Jesus just started walking again. That just bring more bread to the city. He gone make the Lakers look good. He’s one of my favorite players right now. Him & Durant of course. I had been following LeBron even when everyone was hating LeBron. And the tall dude the greek freak he be balling. I be excited to watch that dude. Shoutout to Derrick Rose too he be doing his thing & shout-out to my n**** James Harden. That’s my n**** foreal foreal straight from LA. Trevor Ariza and all my n***** in the league.
