Cody Macc currently hit the Filmore in Charlotte, NC for a brief stop of the Win Or Lose Tour with Dom Kennedy and Jay 305. We got a chance to chop it up with him about new music with Bas x J. Cole x J.I.D and the crowd energy that took place that evening. The crowd was rocking on a cold Saturday night and the venue was nearly sold-out as fans left the show very pleased with performances from OPM’s best, Dom Kennedy & Jay 305. Cozz also brought his Dreamville energy to the stage that had the crowd rocking throughout his set.

RESPECT.: Is this your first time at the Filmore?
Cozz: I’m not sure. I’ve been to Carolina & Charlotte so many times I don’t remember If I came to this specific venue. I don’t think I have. Just based off how I seen it today. But I could’ve. Somebody was telling me that and I’ll know later on but I don’t think I have.
Did you like the energy?
I loved the energy. It was cool. A lot of new faces for me. Dom’s fans are mad different from mines. I’m here to gain fans from his side of the world. It was dope. I liked the crowd they was listening and was attentive.
Should we expect new music from you?
Of Course. I’m about to be dropping mad sh** real soon. I used to hold off on that because I was like just super wanting to have projects out and stuff. But now, I’m like nah. I’m about to be in the game and I’m just gonna start dropping sh**.
Should we expect music with Bas or Cole?
Bas my n**** I got mad music with him. Me & Cole we work all the time. Like people don’t even know. I live in LA and he comes there all the time. We always working and he always calls me almost every other day on tour and we talk all the time. So we figuring stuff out right now. We figuring out our next move. Cole is ready, I’m working on my new stuff and he’s working on his. So we working on that.
What about new music with J.I.D?
My n**** Jidsv that n**** fire. I mean what can I say. He’s a rapper’s rapper. He’s from Atlanta and he got the balance, that nigga just go hard. We talked the other day too.
