RESPECT.: How’s Everything Going?
Bianca Shaw: For me everything is going great, I’m so excited I just dropped my new single under, Tay Bennett Entertainment. It’s going really good right now it has over 32k plays on Soundcloud. I’m just excited to see what’s to happen.
Explain your experience signing with Taylor?
It’s actually been really amazing. Because he doesn’t place me into a box, I’ve been able to kind of go outside of that box and kind of make relatable music. He’s been teaching me alot about the business aspect of it. I’m just happy to be part of his label because I feel like he’s going to be a force to reckon with in the future. Especially him starting this label in Chicago. There’s not a big label in Chicago so he’s going to be the person to start that for other artist to want to hop on board.
Are their any people in the industry that you would like to work with that you haven’t already gotten an opportunity to work with in the future?
Well, I’ve already got a song with Taylor so I would like to work with Chance, Rihanna, Post Malone, Ty Dolla $ign, Bruno Mars, Kendrick, Kanye It’s a lot of people that I would actually like to make collaborations with.
Taylor mentioned you are strong on ‘Women Empowerment’ are their any females in the industry that you would like to work with right now?
Yeah, I mean I actually want to work with Rihanna, Beyonce, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj there’s alot of females that I can see myself collaborating with in the future because I do feel strongly about women empowerment and I just feel like it’s the year for us now. There’s alot of women just coming out making moves and speaking up for themselves. I definitely can see myself working with those individuals.
How do you describe your sound? What category would you put yourself in artist wise?
My influence has always been Missy Elliot & more so just her approach to the industry as in not really having to expose herself for them to actually open their ears and listen to what she had to say. So I would say like a Missy Elliot, Rihanna, Etta James vibe and I know that makes no sense but I would just describe my sound as relatable. That’s the best way that I can describe it as.
Should we be expecting new music from you soon?
Yes, we have a project coming out, my album comes out soon. We have a new project coming soon, right now we’re planning our headlining show in Chicago. Which we are very excited for and you can expect my new project early next year.
