RESPECT.: Tell Everyone Who You Are.
Javon: My Name is Javon but I go by AAJ (abstract art by Javon)
Where Are Your From?
I’m from Northern California.
When Did You Start Doing Art?
I started to draw when I was young but didn’t paint on canvases until I got in my 20s. Growing up in my teen years I got into graffiti when I used to skateboard back in the day.

What Inspired You To Do Art?
Well growing up my grandma would have art books laying around the house and I would skim through them and stare at these weird abstract paintings. I would try to figure out what the hell is the purpose behind this painting and what makes this so unique.
Growing Up What Artist Influenced You To Start Painting?
To be honest my cousin David, Jackson pollock, Picasso, Keith Haring , and also basquiat because he was black and Puerto Rican like me.

How Many Paintings Do You Own?
I own like 25 paintings of my own.
What Is Your Creative Mindset Before Or Doing Paintings?
With my work I’m seeking to show people the process these things I have internalized. There are not many platforms to be able to use and speak to society “hey, I feel these things too, I’m responding to my community too”

What Is Your Most Important Tool To Do Art With?
My paintbrushes and my hands.
Where Do You See Yourself In Art 5 Years From Now?
Being an innovator and setting trends. To be apart of history and my work speak for years to come. Design contemporary furniture and design for clothing brands. We don’t get a lot of opportunities to showcase our creativity and who we are. That is why it is important for me to be able to use my paintbrushes and canvases or articles of clothing, what ever it may be to show you have a voice.
What Does Art Mean To You?
We are all brought on this earth to serve a purpose and we are naturally emotional creatures that respond to the impulses we have. I have lived in a lot of different places and seen a lot which some of my friends will never be able to see. The world is a abstract canvas and you are not always going to have an answer for every question but I answer my biggest questions through my style of art.

Take this article down. You’re promoting someone that takes people’s money for artwork and then doesn’t send it or refund the money after three months.
