Odell Beckham was a game-time decision before tonight’s big game vs the Lions and it didn’t make much of a different either way. He returned from a high left ankle sprain which was slated to be a six-to-eight week injury. The star wideout was the talk of the game but made a even bigger statement with his custom Supreme x Nike “suptempo” cleats. The biggest eye-catcher on the model was “AIR” being replaced with “SUPREME.” Small details include his initials and jersey number (OBJ13) being found on the upper of the sneaker which was contrasted within a gold/red colorway.
The NFL changed a few different guidelines this past off-season which included rules about on-field footwear that allow players to dawn custom cleats on the grass or turf now without being fined. The Giants took a 24-10 loss to the Lions.
“It felt good to be able to play again. It’s been a long time,” Beckham said. “Just kind of getting your feet wet. I felt all right. I don’t really know what percentage [I was at].”
Odell signed the biggest endorsement deal in NFL history with Nike worth about $30 million. Check out his custom cleats below.
